do you think ville is a modern day edgar allen poe?

I hate to be such a stickler or sound like a bitch, but it’s Allan. Not ‘Allen’. You’re basically talking to an amateur historian here, haha.

I’m sorry, but there will never be another Edgar Allan Poe ever again. For obvious reasons.

Also, since Ville never married his 13 year old first cousin, and never has faced the dire throes of extreme poverty, he’s not anything like him. Then there’s the whole geographical aspect, which does factor into the equation…

The only similarities that they have is that they both had a love of alcohol, and women were/are the main source of inspiration for their writings. And that is it. Ville’s obviously inspired by the life and works of Poe, but he’ll never lead a tragic life such as he did, and there’s no parallels except for the aforementioned.

So, he’ll never be a modern-day anyone. He’ll just be Ville. When there is a Valo, there is a Ville (that was such a horrible pun omfg). He’s his own unique person, no matter how much he attempted to self-destruct like the poets, authors, or musicians he’s tried to be like. As Oscar WIlde once said, “Be yourself; everyone else is taken.”
